Evening all

It's been a year now that I have been using my E60 M5 as my daily driver. It's been much more reliable than all the doubters would have you believe and I have done many jobs myself - throttle actuator and discs/pads.

The car is an absolute riot to drive. I only ever drive it on the flappy paddles as the auto box is horrible. The M button makes the car and absolute beast.....so good to drive and very few cars that can stay with it when you are "making progress".

The modification bug bit me and I have made a few subtle changes:
- muffler delete
- 20 inch BBS wheels
- H&R spacers
- Eibach springs

The car is now as I want it - nothing more to do, it is perfect in my eyes!

Can I be rude and ask whether the rims are real or reps and if the latter, where you got them from?
haha - busted! They are indeed reps but lovely quality!
Bought them on Ebay from a seller in N Ireland. Huge lip on the rears as these are 10.5 rear and 9 inch on front

Just go to try not to curb them!

running costs....mmmmm....

not too bad.....

I bought the car at 67000 miles as it had just had a brand new engine from BMW under warranty with a bill to prove of 18,000 quid! Once I knew this, I had to buy it!

Oil service from indy was 300£
Major service including 10 spark plugs was 600£
One coil pack fitted for 100£
New battery cable and mot 200£
Pads and disks all round bought from ECP and self fitted 750£
2nd hand throttle actuator self fitted 120£

That's it over 18 months which i dont think is too bad. I paid 14500 £ for it and given the new engine I think it would still be worth that all day long.

wheels, tyres, springs were unnecessary but I like them and cost me another 2000£ all fitted

Ill try to get a sound file of the exhaust!

Thats handy - two of the bigger worries taken care of! Did the throttle actuator's get re-used from the old engine (that you know of?)
