Just to let anyone whos interested know that at least one person in the uk likes these well enough to build one. no its not a 12, or a coupe, but it is series two and short wheelbase...and it will be very nice.

details, its a 2 owner car with 70,000 miles, sat on old mans drive for 10 years, rust wise 2 new sills rearradius arm mount, front x member, rear valance (alldone) interior fully retrimmed with new seats and everything replaced bar dash veneer, wheels are 8,5j and 10j x 15's wolfrace off a 77 corvette, everything else bone stock, did the welding and interior a year ago, he's sat ever since as i was going to do it std, but in black and jps colour scheme, then decided a broadspeed /steed look would be nice.. cue the search for wheels and getting the grinder out.. a few people have been a bit sad that i have cut up a rare swb model.. but hey no one else wanted to rescue him from the old man.. keeping the rear doors is a ball ache, but as im renown for actually using my cars they are staying.. have put a couple of weeks into the kit fitting recently and will keep updated.. im enjoying this one.. and there cant be many left..

haha cheers yeah I'm enjoying it really and its going to look great I hope, I'll never do another though thats for sure!, cutting into the door fram and skins the slot the arches in behind the steel was a nightmare, as was blending the part arch into the doors!.. its worse thyan it looks to as i had to fabricate all new arch liners in front of the tanks, all round the tops of the inner arches and at the front sections where door shuts are now, these are done twice, one inner arch section plus another to form the shut.. so essentially now box sections.. and lotts of wiggly lines and shapes to cut and fillet in.. it does look right though and anything less would have broken the whole project.. :-)
