After just reading another post on one of these cars I thought I'd pop up some pictures of my recent purchase. I bought this as a daily driver to replace my 2007 Audi A6 3.0tdi, I do about 20k miles a year in the daily but I'm single and never really used all the space in the audi. I loved it but after four and half years I felt like a change.

The car is a 2007 sport model bought with 44k miles on the clock. It's the auto model as after having the Audi with the stronic I didn't want anything else as for a daily driver sat in traffic it makes life so much easier and I love using the paddles when out on fun drives. I'm running this car along side my weekend toy which is a supercharged mk1 mx5 so I've got two really practical cars.

The bmw will be staying standard and the only change will be to get rid of the awful run flat tyres. I've had the car about a month now and in that time I've not seen another one on the road which makes it feel more special.

Anyway some pics and maybe a couple of sneaky shots of the mx5

And I've finally got my plate on

Although you'd think them very similar in reality they are not. The bmw is comfy and refined the mx5 is just serious fun. The z4 feels like a bit of a boat if you drive it back to back with the mx5. The mx5 is far from standard though, it's got the Jackson racing supercharger, megasquirt ecu, competition clutched stage 4 paddle clutch, competition clutches ultra lightweight flywheel, wilwood four pots, bc coilovers, corner weighted suspension with a fast road alignment then it's got the cobra suzuka's with the harnesses so it just feels like a little race car. I couldn't live with the mx5 daily though the clutch is a nightmare in traffic.
