Bart's 2003 Ultima GTR
Discussion
Evening all,
I thought I may have put some pics up before of my GTR, but seems it's been dribs and drabs over time in varying threads. As such, thought it was about time I put some progress pics up of her. She's been a labor of love over the past 16 months, but it's been great to put my own touch on an already impressive package. I bought her built and set about sorting a few niggles out, then it was time for a respray - followed by wheel re-furb, Reverie Carbon intake and other accessories and then my own LED lighting and other personal touches. She's putting out about 525bhp and weighs in at around 930kg...
More importantly, some pics! Enjoy
Around a month into ownership, having removed the varying vinyl graphics and racing checker stickers
Paintshop work
I went with BMW Sepang Bronze having seen a Z4 M many moons ago in the same colour
Cue new home made carbon front splitter, wheels refurbished, front light units replaced and new LED indicators, self-made LED rear lights wired up, carbon wrapped side pods, new rear carbon wing, front mesh all replaced with newer ABS type, my own designed logos added and here we stand today after taking the wife out for a nice lunch. I've finally got all the clam shut lines sorted and the ride heights sorted - typically in time for winter!
I'll grab some engine bay pics in the garage once I've sorted a few further things, but my daily driver now has my attention with a few mods planned

Wow, was liking it in green but the new colour just works. Looks mean and different. Were you not tempted to paint it the same colour as the Maserati though?!
Until recently I also owned a Noble M12 in a very very similar colour to the Maserati, so wanted the Ultima to differ slightly andygtt said:
I'm sure the guy that used to own this car also used to own my canam.
Was that Dom? I bought the car of a gentleman called Nick, our Berkshire way. I believe though that this was one of Dom's old GTRsThanks for all the kind words, she's been a labour of love. Few more mods planned over the winter, including modernising the interior a bit.

Ive now got a noble and have removed the seats and made my own lol, I guess you must know how 'max power' the noble interior feels as std and needs changing for a different reason to the Ult
I managed to escape some of the Max Power image in my M12 by replacing the steering wheel with a nice suede unit and satin blacking a number of interior items. But know exactly what you mean!killerferret666 said:
It's a lovely car and the engine sound matches the car which is always a good thing, plus the owner is a top bloke as well. The colour is a definite improvement, I wish my DDR was as nice.
