Already looking to do the conversion to the DCT style paddles. The M sport grill has kind of grown on me. I have a spare black one incase.

Very nice, I've got a Crimson Red E92 (SE spec) and its nice having such a common car in a rare colour!
Its one of the things that attracted me to the car. aswell as the spec. Was struggling to find a 330i with the iDrive and Msport parts

Nice choice, crimson red is a great colour.
I see the alloys have just been refurbished, something to keep an eye on with these as they can be quite prone to cracks.
I plan to replace the runflat tyres currently on the car and have the wheels checked at the same time.

Well it all goes well. Except for already replacing the Spark Plugs and 1 Coil due to it failing and causing me a low down misfire.

Since thats all be changed its been brilliant in the week ive owned it

That's a lot of car for that money!

Well done on the purchase, looks great in that colour too.
I've been rocking around in cheap bangers for the last few years. I have just bought a house and it was about time i invested in something a bit more refined.

Took a while to find one in the right spec with the service history to back it up but once this was found i couldnt not purchase!

I was looking at that very car the other day actually, not with the intent of buying but just scoping out a possible future E9x purchase

It met basically all of my criteria (interesting colour 2008+ 330i or 335i) and the combination of those alloys and the gloss red paint looked fantastic.

Glad to see it go to a PHer and will be very interested to read about your experiences with it.
I looked at 100's over the course of actually taking the plunge. Mainly in Black/Silver which really didn't take my fancy. The spec list is really impressive as is the Service History. Somone really loved this car.

The price it was up for was at the upper limit of most 330i on the market but i believed for the spec list it was a good price.

The engine as everyone always says is impressive.

Nice looking car that!

Any plans for tinkering?
No major plans as of yet just to make sure its in 100% working order. The N53 engines are known for a few issues i want to make sure are completely ironed out before i do much more

Tinkering wise i wouldn't mind getting my hands on the BMW Performance Intake kit. Then converting over to DCT Paddles rather than the stock ones.

That will be about it. Just keeping it clean and enjoying it.

Oh and getting rid of the runflat tyres. M sport suspension, 19's and Runflats can sure make a bumpy ride

Hope it's something simple like coil packs and not the injectors.
I really do hope that aswell. I have warranty on it but i dont know if they cover fuel injectors. It was just what came with the car from the dealer

Would be worthwhile contacting BMW about this. I had exactly that car, and in 2013 the previous owner to me had new injectors, fuel pumps and coil packs fitted out of goodwill by BMW. It's a known problem and they may be prepared to help.
According to BMW it has had a fuel pump and injectors. That isnt to say it hasent gone faulty again.

Update

Car has been into a local BMW indy. He has looked through all the live data of the car and finding no faults with the injectors or fuel pump. All are showing perfectly healthy and within tolerance.

He did notice that the software has never been updated on the vehicle even after it has had the recalls by BMW. He is looking to see if he has the correct software update to check that that isn't the issue with the vehicle as im sure i read that the N5* engines have been through multiple software updates to try get rid of issues.

Lets hope its a simple fix such as that and nothing more.

It's strange that the indi couldn't find a log of any faults AND no software updates from BMW....
Car is still with the Indy, Hes been playing with it all afternoon and has managed to get it to replicate the fault i was having that would come and go and has tracked it down to injector number 2 out of tolerance. He is recommending that a minimum of 3 be replaced in that bank.

Lets wait and see what the seller has to say.

Well today the car has had cylinder 2 injector replaced paid for by the seller. The mechanic says its running like a dream now but recommends that i get it in for a software update ASAP

So that's next on the list of things to do.

Be happy just to have it back and running perfectly

You posted that on Wednesday.

I assume you're still hooning around and haven't got time for an update.

Preferably with millions of pictures
Car is back. Still has a little bit of hesitation currently so will be recieving 6 coils and 6 new plugs tomorrow to see if that helps it out.

Have been hooning about in it. Such an amazing drive.

Will update with plenty of photos tomorrow biggrin
