Interesting project OP, it'll be interesting to watch it progress... I particularly like the subtle bonnet venting..
Not going to be as subtle in the future I'm afraid.
I'v now got all the pipe fittings I need, so did a bit of plumbing today,

So, I'v decided what look I'm going for with the bonnet

This was a Pulsar type vent which I'v cut about an inch off the hight and got rid of the front bit, I may go lower yet.

I love this, a twincharged 850.

Could you just let me know what tyres you will be buying so i can invest now.
I beleive that Linglong are quite hard wearing, but i think you have to give them a weeks notice in triplicate if you want to go round a corner. smile

Well as prommised, a vid of the first start, unfortunately I'v run out of hose clips so I can't rev the engine (it just blowes the boost pipe off as soon as i close the throttle)
still to do, fit the oil cooler (I'v just bypassed it for now) modify bottom hose and then tidy up. then comes the slow process of mapping it using a dastek unichip.

Whilst there's no doubt in my mind that this will be flawed compared to a well tuned turbo only T5, I really really like this idea.

I wanted to supercharge my old 2.0 10v Auto just for a giggle, but never got round to it as I kept buying other cars.

Good luck with it and keep us posted!
I totaly agree, but my friend is in the process of building a 400bhp 850 T5 at the moment, and the spendomiter is already in excess of 7k, I hope to achive 350bhp for less than a grand (that includes the price of the car)

I upped the boost today (bloodey hell it feels strong) and spent the day putting pipes back on...lol, I must have jacked the car up about 10 times today..lol
so I'v took off all my alloy joiners and will weld beads on them all tomorrow, I knew I'd have to do that anyway but I wanted to wait until I had all the pipe runs sorted.

All the pipes are staying on now,

have some picks:

the back slot in the bonnet will be to let hot air out.

The scoop is partitiond the front draws cold air onto the tmic, the back half lets out hot air (I may have to make a bigger hole in the back)
