Yeah, picked up on that about the seats, but still a 2002 car smile

The sports exhaust fitted may make up for the lack of seats, which could probably be retro fitted for less than an exhaust, if that's something you would have planned for?
Good points and valid points especially as I'll stick a plate on anyway.

On the seats it's just a personal preference and I think it adds to the appeal of the car. I had thought about the option of retro fitting seats if necessary, but it's expensive to do well.

Keep them coming please smile

Hi
Colour makes a big difference grey will mark and show age Black and Blue not so much. Just my thoughts and obversations.

Paul
Thanks Paul.

I presume you are referring to the seat colour rather than exterior paint colour? I could live with a dark blue leather, not grey or beige or red!

I go under the knife (again) next month to remove some metalwork from an emergency shoulder re-build - apparently motorsport is not the only passtime that can be dangerous. laugh

If that were not the case, you might have competition. Happy hunting and post pics when you (hopefully) find one!

FWIW, somehow I feel the 996t is aesthetically more pleasing (exterior NOT interior) than the 997t, whilst the C2s are the oter way around. All IMHO, of course.
Sounds painful! Hopefully my search won't be althought prepared to wait for the right car smile

I've been browsing for a long time about buying a 996 turbo with the spec I want - sports seats are one of them (embossed too) and there are surprisingly few turbo's specced with them.
What spec are you looking for?
Not a black / blue interior
Must be tiptronic
Must have aluminium dials
Must have sat nav
Not silver exterior.

This is pretty much my perfect car but I think its too expensive for a 2002

Good to see we're not in competition. I'll let you know it I see any matching your description! smile

Doesn't look bad to me if it ticks all your preferences!

Have a look and make Joel an offer!

you should be able to reduce that by £1000
It doesn't have sports seats, which are a must for me.

Thanks for recommending anyway.

I've found the sport seats uncomfortable for any length of time and you could always buy a set of fronts or better sport seats and keep the originals for when you sell on!.
Got excited,I thought you'd posted a car for me to look at! smile

Looks lovely, but no Sports Seat sand lot of money even for a turbo S, when you look at how 997 turbo prices are coming down.

Has anyone had a look at the Seal Grey 996 turbo at Harbour Cars? here

It hasn't got sports seats and is top £ and has been on sale for a while.

Thoughts?

I thought all 'S's had a 'Turbo S' badge on the centre console?
That one's gone.

We maybe in a recession but good 996 turbo are in short supply and demand.

Lots of high mileage tips around but not many low mileage manuals!

Keep sending me those suggestions biggrin

How are you enjoying your turbo S erics? Worth the extra over a standard car?

Thanks but a fiver off £40k and it's got almost 60k on the clock seems steep! (Even for a turbo S, it's too close to 997 turbo money)!

Funny with a lack of good cars coming onto the market you do start to look at what else is about 996 GT3 mk2, 993 C4S, V8 Vantage etc (even another 3.2 Carrera).

Must keep focused wink

Yeah miles are a bit high, but its a one owner car and still in Porsche warranty.
if I were in the market, I would bid them what you want to pay and see what happens...
I may have if it was Seal/Slate Grey but black's a PITA to keep clean!
