dunlop sport maxx race !!!!worth a look ?
Discussion
They are still bloody good in the dry though and easy to get a bit of heat into them
I have always ran PS2's
Just not a great cold or wet tyre.
AS for conti and Bridgestone N spec, give me a PS2 every time.
the issue is tyres have moved on, but none of the new good tyres are N spec now
It's a bit of a joke this N spec tyre warranty thing when people are fitting far better tyres.

I think they are amazing, love the tyre and can take 60 degree heat and many laps.
wearing very well, seem faster in tests than a R888 and wear better than a Trofeo
so win win imo.
Plus the best road tyre by miles is the Pilot Super Sport.
I hate conti's :-) to a point I binned the last set on my Mini even though not fully worn.
what are you trying ? "ContiForceContact"

Unfortunately not. But I'll be at the GTPorsche day at Oulton on Tuesday.
I've done 2 very hard evening sessions on my Trofeos now, plus quite a bit of driving in between. They are wearing far better than I thought they would. Considering I only got circa 7k mixed road and track miles out of the rear PS2's last year I am more than happy with how the Trofeos look considering the vast uplift in performance.
With such track-specific rubber, it seems that they can only be used and stored at high temps. Trying to use or store them in anything sub-7c seems to kill them very quickly. Maybe the issue with the newer Lotus's?
The Trofeos does seem fast on that test site, but I guess it's s just a bit softer, who knows.I've done 2 very hard evening sessions on my Trofeos now, plus quite a bit of driving in between. I did not mind which tyre I had as long as it could do a few laps with out going all greasy feel.
Normal road tyres on track just feel nasty after 3 laps.
Heat cycle is the next issue , I was hitting 65 drgree tyre temps last track day after a full cool down lap, which would kill a A048 if it did that 5 or 6 times.
I hope the Dunlops heat cycle well.
Lol I saw a test on soups, they would have come last.
FFS
Race maxx is a great tyre, takes a while to heat up so people who drive on the road only like a granny say they are Slippy.
But I get enough heat into them for road use ok, track is night and day better.
