Colleague of mine is looking at this tomorrow. Says it's been CAT C'd in 2009. Wondered whether anyone on here knows the car and its history?

Reg is R44 HGT

Any feedback greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback, it kinds of mirrors what I said to him. As for the running costs he already has a 996 so isn't unaware the sorts of running costs involved in Porsche ownership.

He's owned a well-repaired Cat C before which came with stacks of receipts and photos of the repairs.

Was it the CAT C status in the end, or didn't the car live up to expectations on the viewing?
He said 'gut feel'. He's still on the lookout for a 996 Turbo now though.

Back up for sale again (unless it's just a recycled advert).
Yep, just spotted that...!

Methinks it's got 'issues'.

Just saw this car in the morning when coming off the M1 near brent cross. Didn't look particularly tidy.
My colleague also said it was tatty 'in the metal'.

It's gorgeous. And yes, he was ideally after a manual but good ones are few and far between. I think the one he's just bought was so good in every other respect he's acquiesced on the gearbox.

Indeed, although I suspect he'll still be keeping an eye open for the perfect manual whilst enjoying this one...!
