Updating 997 with Gen II LED rear lights?

Hi all, just asking whether anyone knows - are the 997 Gen II LED rear light units a straight swap into the Gen I (non LED) light housing (i.e.: bolt straight in with no rewiring or electrics changes needed)?

I'd go for the plain lens type myself. FYI, they have three types, one semi-smoked...

Heard back from the supplier - 2-year warranty on these and the black box behind the unit (in the photos) ensures that the electrics doen't send an error/warning message to the dashboard.

Wow! So you are saying that a Gen I looks dated when parked next to a Gen II? What do you see as the major external differences then?
