991/981 PCM Album artwork display...random!!!

I have the latest iPod touch hooked up to my PCM, plus have lots of tracks loaded into the Jukebox.

On both the iPod connection and the Jukebox, the album artwork will sometimes display...and other times it won't. It's the same track that I am using to investigate. It's really odd!!!

Anyone else noticed this?

Anyone have a solution?

Now there are a few more people on here with 981's.....anybody else experiencing this?

It's not a biggy...just a bit annoying...I just like things to work

Yes, but why would it effect all tracks? One journey, all album artwork works fine....turn car off...come back 20 minutes later....switch on, and no album artwork for any tracks?? It's not just the odd track, it either works on all or not at all....depending on how it feels!

ha ha..maybe! ....they're Apple. As I say, there's no constancy. It's either all artwork works...or it doesn't at all. It's not individual files not working.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is one of the first 981 Caymans in the country...as I say...it's about 50/50 whether the artwork appears or not. I am suing the latest iPod with the most current IOS.

Will have a word with my friendly OPC!

It would appear it's nothing to do with my iPod, as the artwork will/will not appear on both the iPod and Jukebox at the same time. Must be a PCM issue.

Apart from not showing on my way to work this morning, it has been showing artwork for the rest of the morning between appointments no probs...

Thank you Simon, I thought I was the only one! It can't be the id tags as it would just not work. Got my 40K service coming up soon...will ask if there has been some software update ...hopefully they can get it fixed.

Having said that, the PCM system often forgets that there is an iPod plugged in at all and you have to unplug and reconnect for it to show up again, so I don't think the integration is perfect by any means

Indeed. Plus the jukebox artwork either works or not at the same time as the ipod ...so don't think it's an ipod issue.
