I bought my RHD 991 here in the UK and will be driving over to Europe next month. Consequently I have looked at the manual about how to convert the headlights to suit the LHD traffic in Europe. I don't have PDLS so it will be a manual switch involving removing the headlights. In my manual it's in Page. 233.

However I could not figure out where is the switch after removing the headlights, then the 4 screws and the cover. I have studied the picture in details but still couldn't work it out.

Has anyone done this successfully and can give me some hints?

Thank!

Kenny

Still haven't got pictures of the inside of the headlights but I have been to the OPC. Spoke to the technician in charge and looked at the headlights together. He doesn't know how to change the lights either and the picture in the manual doesn't seem to help.

He's in the process of investigating further and will report back.

Has anyone done this successfully in a 991?

A follow up to this on the 991.

The technicians at my OPC apparently did further investigations of this matter and now tells me that in fact for cars without PDLS there is NO MANUAL way of switching the headlights between LEFT and RIGHT hand drive (ie for going to Europe). Therefore the Driver's Manual Page 233 is WRONG.

The only way to do this is to bring the car into the OPC and they will plug their computer in to change it for you - at a cost.

Cars with PDLS can be switched in the dash from what I understood.

Can anyone confirm that what I'm told by my OPC is correct? It's disappointing that the Driver's Manual is WRONG and there is not erratum issued.
