Hello all,

Just wondered if anyone knew if the 964 RS seats where bi/tri/quad colour as google images are throwing up what looks to be, various combinations.

Also, what is the colour system it goes in, ie black (bit under the thighs)/cream (bum cushion)/Lighter colour than upper removable cushion/darker colour or is it black, colour 1, colour 1, black or...?

Thanks

Do you find that it breaks up the interior quite nicely? (assuming the rest of the cabin is black?)

Is the bum cushion a light blue or cream?

IN that pic though, is it the yellow backed seats that brighten up the interior or the colouring?

Im wondering what yellow would look like, i know this has red belts and not yellow (its not my car), but in theory if i moved the yellow down to the lower back cushion, bum cushion goes to cream/ivory then the others black or grey, id kinda be a modern take on it or will it look ghastly?

Finally got round to doing it so thought i would share, no doubt itll be a marmite thing but i just wanted something to brighten up the interior when nobody was in it and but remain dark when being driven (abit like playing peek-a-boo with a baby)

I know i could have painted the seats/centre console but im not wholly convinced on that

I was thinking about something very similar for mine, but just using the two shades of grey like the yellow RS further up this thread.

Who did these for you and were they reasonable cost to do? Did you retain the originals or recover?

Sorry for the multiple questions! hehe
Company called A&R Pound in Baldock.

Cost was £120

The grey is leather and the yellow is vinyl unfortunately. Had to use vinyl as it was going to be to costly to do it in leather for the size of material required. Both the leather and the vinyl where in stock as such so kept costs down.

Yep, kept the originals. The guy unpicked the OEM's to get the correct size (then resewed them) but i feel that the bum/leg cushions could fit in another 5-10mm of foam as theres a bit of space inside, so will investigate into this later on.

Im fairly happy with the results, sure its not quite OEM quality with a few pointy corners as such but im hoping that with some bum heat/time, this will soften and 'round' off said corners

I quite fancy the pads done in grey (or a couple shades of grey) and in Alcantara not leather, I would keep the black leather pads so that I could alternate them.

Just my 2p worth...
The back piece though has to be done as 1 piece so you can't mix and match, the bottom section you could and i could go quad colour.

I did consider alcantara but thought that with the amount of movement youd have with your bum/legs. itd rub away and wouldnt look good
