About to take the plunge - some questions

O.K., I have 2 possible Boxster S cars that I am currently looking at.
The first is exactly what I want - low mileage, 1 owner, right exterior colour, second choice interior colour in full leather, all the toys etc. etc. There are 2 things that I'm not so sure about:
(i) Someone has managed to put 2 fairly obvious dimples in the rear (plastic) window. Being Dr. Fussy, I would want to replace this and my worse fear is that this will be mega-expensive.
Does anyone know how much this is likely to cost to rectify ?
(ii) It's got the Selectronic or whatever you call it semi-automatic gearbox. I thought that this would be a big plus, but I found it mildly irritating on the test drive and I'm concerned about reliability. Any comments on this ?
Car 2 (which I haven't seen in the metal yet) has the glass rear window - this sounds like a better bet - are there any downsides to these ?
