Just wondering how the 996tt's are coming along now they are starting to see a few miles ,do they suffer fron the 996/boxter internal engine problems which have resulted in warrenty claims new engines etc? any owners views would be great thanks.

Thanks guy's I'm currently looking for a 993tt at the moment,I've been to see a few cars My buget is £40k max.I can buy a really nice lhd for that money easily,or a 60k+ miles for a rhd.I'm leaning towards a rhd even though I'll have to buy a car with more mile/age etc. I had a look at the polar silver at Autobahn, but that went the next day,I also went to see a red one that was advertised in Autotrader/top marques but it seems like it's had a rear quarter. The welds at the top by the engine lid were not original factory hence the price £35k apart from that very nice car drove lovely! what are you guy's views?

Have any of you 993tt owners had to have a top end rebuild done? Or any other internal/major engine work?
