Oil for a 1984 911 3.2 carrera (convertible)

I've just bought an old 911 (1984) 3.2 and it's empty of oil. Running fine, but obviously I need to get some into it asap, and the lady I bought it from had no idea about it!
Which oil would you recommend and how much initially, the dipstick is showing negligible in there!
Beauty tho, she really is.

Thanks guys. 10/40 synthetic and she took just over 2 litres slowly. Fiddley to put in though...I had to make a marble run for it!
