996 GT2 bumper trim clips...HELP!
Discussion
Thought I'd take my bumper cover off to give the rads a clean. While I was there I decided to remove the air intake trim off the inside of the bumper cover for a proper clean etc. These were held in position with u-clamps which I decided to replace. The ones received from Porsche (28 of them), aren't the same design and I can't work out how they are supposed to fit??
Here's a pic of the u-clamp. .
And here's the plastic tab which it's supposed to secure. This is part of the bumper cover and the air intake trim fits onto it.
Any help appreciated.

By way of further explanation, I need to fix the air inlet trim (items 4 and 5), into the bumper cover. I've been given u-clamps (item 6), but can't see how they could possibly be used to retain the trim inside the PU. Are these the correct fittings?

Mr Slippydiff, that makes a lot of sense. When I took the assembly apart there were altogether different clips securing the air-inlet trim via the locating tabs - this is what confused me, I assumed this was the way they were secured, my first mistake!
I'm now pretty sure that the clamp pushes onto the edge of the opening in the PU and the air-inlet trim is secured by pressing onto these clips.
Many thanks.
edit...it is a "U" clamp, the wider section clamps down onto the PU when the air-intake trim is pressed home. Right, now to give it a go

I recently replaced the lower skirt on mine (item no 7 on your diagram).
The fit is very poor, it's almost like Porsche have started using aftermarket companies for some of their low number spares.
I replaced my splitter a couple of weeks ago also. Returned the first one because of a discolouration in the finish at both end of the splitter. The replacement was exactly the same so I was stuck with it!The fit is very poor, it's almost like Porsche have started using aftermarket companies for some of their low number spares.
