Two issues of like advice on...

Been advised that the uj on my prop shaft is leaking grease and will fail at some point. Annoyingly it's had the bearing done recently too!
I've had a read about doing it myself and other than aligning the centre bearing, it doesn't seem too bad. Has anyone done this themselves before?
Also, what's the thinking on going for genuine parts at £750 or a non genuine at £300-350? Both have a two year warranty and whilst I'm not running this on a shoestring I don't want to spend money without reason!

Second issue is that I have water ingress into the passenger footwell. We've caught it fairly early so hopefully no lasting issues. I do need to get the carpet up and get a dehumidifier in there though. Any tips on removing the passenger seat so that I can get better access? Will I need to remove the will cover etc too? I'll borrow a wet/dry vac to get as much water out as possible first too.

Cheers.

Northway have cleaned the drain holes for me this week. I'm going to take the arch liner out for a check myself too. Plan is to get the seat out and carpet up, then run a dehumidifier in there for as many days as it takes until it's not pulling water out.

Just a bit! Niggles haven't been too bad, just a few of the common problems it seems. Northway said that overall it was in pretty decent condition so it seems I did OK with what I paid for it.

Fuel is much as expected. We're doing 16mpg average at the moment.

That's very helpful, thanks. Quite surprising how much he pulled out of one arch!

Thanks. Plan is still to do the drains and carpet tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Wet vac and dehumidifier ready!

Prop wise, I think I'll chance it on the nonP part. It's less than half the cost and has the same warranty!
