Just had a head-turning weekend loan of a Macan S diesel. So impressed that even my wife was doing man maths, justifying the car as a replacement for our Q5.

But - Porsche Edinburgh are quoting a waiting list of approx 24 months for ordered cars.

Does anyone know of an OPC quoting a significantly shorter time than that?

We did ask about the demo car, but apart from the fact it was up-specced to a crazy level, it was sold before it arrived.
It's first owner will get a 6 month-old, 10k mile car at list price. No thanks.

May be worth asking your Porsche dealer. We heard of a Turbo bought for £70k being bought back by the same dealer for £76k... and resold for £79k.

Thanks - will call Hatfield out of interest.

If we do go ahead though, will prob just place the deposit with Edinburgh & see what happens.

They are selling a LOT of cars at the moment, and building a bigger dealership in the spring - so their allocation (currently circa 25 Macans/year) may well increase. Plus production capacity is expandable to 80k cars/year (from 50k), I heard.

Porsche owned centres have the biggest allocations and shortest wait lists. Rumour has it Hatfield OPC seem to have the shortest wait time, but they may also be telling porkies. Who knows. The allocation of a build doesn't seem to be first come first serve, best to get a deposit down somewhere and harass until received.
Thanks for the tip - Hatfield OPC quoting me July 2015.
