This car apparently changed hands for £224k incl buyers premium....

Not bad for a left hooker!

This RHD car was up for sale at JZM four or five months ago for £180k

fk knows what that's worth on that back of that auction price now!

I just bought the JZM 3.6 because I want the car. If it does crash through the floor I will not sell it.
Good for you....that is a stunning car! Have to say I thought it was actually pretty reasonably priced all things considered and looks like something of a bargain now!

At the risk of upsetting rubedo .. which is not my intent as it is a lovely car .. but can someone just tell me why that was £225k and this one is £60k? Genuinely perplexed. What am I missing?

Not looking to upset anyone, just genuinely interested in the difference. Thanks
That's a bog standard 3.3. The 3.6 is the later car produced in much lower numbers...and rather more desirable.

The 3.6 was only produced for a year....the one that Ruebdo bought was a run out version of it meaning it's even more desirable.

Personally I think it's the best looking Turbo Porsche has ever produced and certainly one of it's best looking cars full stop.

If I was sitting on a 964 turbo 3.6 as an investment having paid £180k+ I'd be worried!
Given the rarity of his particular car and mileage (18k) I think it was a decent purchase. Even if the arse falls out of the market that car is going to be worth well over £100k.

If I'd just paid £220k for a LHD 3.6 I'd be much more worried!

Interesting post in this thread on Rennlist

http://rennlist.com/forums/964-turbo-forum/836353-...

Well it turns out that there was a mix up at the auction with one of the commission bids and one of the bidders ended up bidding against himself. Disappointing from our point of view but we have secured the sale closer to the higher end of the auction guide which is still impressive.
