Cayenne buying advice re mileage

Hi all
Just after some advice please.
Looking at a cayenne and seen one priced very keenly
Its a 2010 Cayenne S (petrol).
It is from a main dealer but with a one year warranty rather than the usual two (I assume due to the mileage).
Which is the key point...
Is 75k too many miles for a used car I'd intend to sell or trade in after 2 or three years of driving 8k miles a year?
Would I be better of stretching the budget now to take less of a loss later?
Any help will be gratefully received.

I'm not saying they can't sell the car without a one year warranty of some kind, but they can't sell it as an Approved Used car without the 2 years cover (I'm not aware of any mileage restriction except the 9years/125,000 miles limit for the last renewal), and if it's not Approved Used then you shouldn't be paying any more for it than buying elsewhere, but more importantly why hasn't it passed the 111point check for the 2 years cover?Just after some advice please.

In general - if it was approved used, would you buy a car with mileage over 75k?
How does it effect resale or more appropriately depreciation and the total I'll lose during ownership.

Too many variables to answer the question effectively.
IMO, the 75k mls isn't a problem, if it's been well looked after, FPSH, and official warranty (renewable) - and fairly reflected in the purchase price.
But, I would have thought, the model to buy is the 'new shape', 10/60 reg?, Diesel. That's likely to wear its use, mileage and residuals best in the future, IMO.

Right - so the dealer said it hasn't had the 111 point check because of the mileage.
It comes with their non approved warranty for one year.
I can pay for an 111 point check - if it passes I can purchase the approved warranty for just over 2k.
If not I can get the repairs done (at my expense) so it can be purchased.
The car has done 76k.
Its a Cayenne S (petrol) with loads of options added (air/pasm/pan etc).
For 35k...
seems a good deal...is there a catch in the lack of the 111 point check?
I noticed other high milers on Porsche's approved site.

So in addition to paying £2k to Porsche for their 2 year warranty - you also have to pay then to see if it's suitable, and if it's not - you have to pay for the repairs to make it good enough for them to put the 2 year warranty on it?Right - so the dealer said it hasn't had the 111 point check because of the mileage.

I'm dubious about that. OPC cars are usually not the cheapest around (regardless of mileage) - and that is because they come with a 2 year OPC warranty which will pay for most things that break. People seem willing to pay a bit extra for a dealer approved car with that warranty.I don't understand why that should be different for a higher mileage car - I suppose it's further down the depreciation curve so maybe they think that the price difference for the 2 year OPC warranted car is too significant at the cheaper end of the market. However, if that's true - it would mean that they don't think the cost of the 111 point check / fixing problems they find / adding a 2 year warranty makes financial sense on a car of this mileage, because the amount they'd have to add to the sale price to compensate for what they'd have to spend would price the car out of the market. But if that's the case, they're asking you to absorb the cost that they think doesn't make financial sense (hence they won't do it themselves).
As I said, not tempting I don't think.
