Cayenne buying advice re mileage
Discussion
Hi all
Just after some advice please.
Looking at a cayenne and seen one priced very keenly
Its a 2010 Cayenne S (petrol).
It is from a main dealer but with a one year warranty rather than the usual two (I assume due to the mileage).
Which is the key point...
Is 75k too many miles for a used car I'd intend to sell or trade in after 2 or three years of driving 8k miles a year?
Would I be better of stretching the budget now to take less of a loss later?
Any help will be gratefully received.
Thanks

037 - Thanks for your message. Is the 09 the last gen shape? I'm looking for a current gen shape (10 on) really. Thanks though.
Gooseman - thanks for your response. Yes its at the main dealer but not approved used. Perhaps i should enquire why this is?
In general - if it was approved used, would you buy a car with mileage over 75k?
How does it effect resale or more appropriately depreciation and the total I'll lose during ownership.
Thanks again

It is a 2010 model (new shape).
Right - so the dealer said it hasn't had the 111 point check because of the mileage.
It comes with their non approved warranty for one year.
I can pay for an 111 point check - if it passes I can purchase the approved warranty for just over 2k.
If not I can get the repairs done (at my expense) so it can be purchased.
The car has done 76k.
Its a Cayenne S (petrol) with loads of options added (air/pasm/pan etc).
For 35k...
seems a good deal...is there a catch in the lack of the 111 point check?
I noticed other high milers on Porsche's approved site.
Thanks for your help all.

They said it has their dealership warranty which apparently covers most things the approved one does.
I can extend it to two years.
The reason it hasn't been put through the 111 check and given a PA Warranty is that cars of that mileage normally go to non franchise specialists who price them more keenly, so they will struggle to recoup the cost of the warranty as they need to price it at a similar level to specialists to sell it?
I'm stuck in this really want the car at a very good price for the spec, but worried about the lack of 111 point check situation....
Recon It would be another 5k anywhere else with a main dealer.
But will I end up spending more than that on wear and tear repairs on a car of this mileage.
Oh what to do?!?!
I wish i was decisive!

Ah thanks again.
It is a Porsche Centre I believe.
Its been given an www.inchcapesignature.co.uk warranty.
They will do the 111 point check though now if I leave a deposit, so if that comes back clear:
Should I get the Porsche warranty for the extra, or stick with the Inchcape one if it's similar cover?
The Porsche one is about twice the price.
Many thanks again to all.
