I have a feeling it's one of those situations where if you need to ask the price then you can't afford it:

I doubt many of us would have kept one of these for long given the opportunity to make that much on it. I'd flip it purely based on the way it looks, looks like a 991 GT3-RipSpeed to me with all that wing and plastic. getmecoat
+1
It looks a speed machine- but for sure- I don't think anyone could argue that the huge rear spoiler enhances the looks......the bog standard 991 has nicer lines that's for sure. But, with such performance and hype most Porsche enthusiasts would still want a GT3RS even if Porsche had for some reason fixed a dog basket on the rear wing.

‘Even left hand drive 997 GT3 RS 4.0s are selling for £400,000 these days.'

Doubtful!

There's 3 LHD ones under €360k, I know dealers love to talk up prices but come on!
Now the new 991 GT3RS is kicking around I can't see the 997 GT3 RS maintaining such silly values as previously. The 4lt novelty has subsided somewhat. Also, as per the car in the ad linked above- they look fairly rubbish with those white wheels- the new RS looks substantially better. I can't afford either so I shall forget about it for now.

The sport classic was sold at a whopping premium over the standard car, even more than a turbo s at the time I think. The so called R I'm hearing is going to be something along the likes of that so it wouldn't be a surprise if it was a decent clip more expensive than the RS or turbo s now. And it's supposedly going to be really limited so I can't imagine anyone struggling to get the RS would have a hope in hell of getting one of those.....
Yes- you are correct- the Sport Classic was £140k and they only made 250.......
