Does anyone know this car or the dealer ? I am certainly tempted to buy another 997 turbo. It is top money though.
Thank you

I called the dealer this morning, they seem knowledgeable and very friendly. I do not think I would have a problem buying a car from them. I asked though if the car had been tested to see if it had been over rev but they told me it is very unusual to do an over rev test on turbos, it is done only on GT3. I did not insist but I do not think they are correct. The car has
been serviced every 2 years with a yearly, minor and major service. There is no evidence though of the clutch having been changed or any other work having been done on the car. I am still thinking about it but the lack of invoices is an issue for me.

So they are saying that you cant over rev a turbo? What utter bull!

I am afraid that this is typical salesman behaviour.
You are 100 per cent right. When I sold my 996 tt on SOR through JZM they did a detailed report of my car including whether it was over rev. This is a critical test on turbos. I would never buy a turbo without making sure this test was ok. To be fair on this dealer though when I said that if wanted this car to be tested by an OPC such as Porsche mid Sussex they had no objection

I agree it would be very unwise to buy such a car without a proper rev ranges check. A lot of Porsche specialists such as JZM, 911virgin, Harbourcars etc do this check as part of their pre sale inspection. I suspect that if I decide to buy the speed yellow one (I love the colour) i could organise this check at OPCs etc.

Thank you all for the responses.
I may have found one that on paper is nicer than the speed yellow one
although black is not my favourite colour.
Does anyone know about this car ?
Parr has a very good reputation I believe.

Thanks, the black one at Parr has now been sold before I had a chance to see it. It looked great and paper and Parr's reputation is excellent. Anyone on this site bought it ?I will try to see the yellow one at the end of this month but if anyone has any information on it before I see it I would appreciate. I agree though with the comments made by some that the car is expensive but hopefully the dealer will agree to reduce the price. If I cannot find a good 997 turbo that I like, I will look at a DB9 Aston Martin (i love the shape).

Here is another one that looks good on paper although I am not sure about the interior.
