I've owned my 911 for precisely 8 days, and today took it upon myself to visit RPM. I had phoned beforehand to ask if I could pop in and "have a wander round". Why RPM? Because I was impressed when I spoke to them on the phone about a car for sale, which I did not buy, and because I was passing within a few miles of their premises.

When I got there, Craig the workshop coordinator made himself available, and spent probably 50 minutes with me, showing me the engine build workshop, introduced me to Dave the engine builder, who explained how the m96 goes together (and falls apart), talked me through the IMS bearing options, how the dual mass flywheel can fail and answered all my random questions about servicing and preventative maintenance.

I was made to feel very welcome and wanted to publicly thank the team. What a great bunch of guys and girl. I've never spent any money there and they didn't have to spend any time with me - but the service I enjoyed today left a very good impression. I know where my car's going for its next service!
