So here is the thing. I bought a Porsche as investment but now I have it the man maths is out the window and I am enjoying the car for what it is.

I used to be addicted to cars and so was my cousin who we "buried" today. He lived for the moment and as I was sat staring at his coffin it made me think.

The vicar at the service said that life was a series of rocks, pebbles and sand. The rocks are the important things. The pebbles what you fill your life with and the sand is the enjoyment.

My Porsche is sand. It is glorious fun.

I also drive a Nissan Navarra V6 day to day. I'm thinking that it is more pebble than sand (although as it is a remapped V6 it is on its way to a sand like state).

So I'm now thinking of getting a bashed up truck/van for day to day stuff (just changing career after selling my business to become a property developer) like a VW T3/4 and then getting either a Range Rover or Cayenne.

The Cayenne seems to plummet in value faster than rock. You can get a full service history one for just £15K. That makes me nervous. But then a range rover is notorious for breaking down.

What would you get to suit my 996 C4S on the drive?
