I have been reviewing 2015 911S cars on PistonHeads for sale recently and nearly 99% of them are PDK Transmission. I find this quite surprising, why is this?

I don't know. You tell us why you find it surprising.
My previous car (Alpina B3 BiTurbo) had a brilliant semi auto box, especially in sport mode. I attended a Experience day at Silverstone Centre and test drove a Cayman GTS I personally thought the gear changes in the PDK were fractionally slower than that of the Alpina.

Having experienced a semi Auto box for a few years now I have found as being a driver you miss interaction and skill of using a manual box. Surly having a sports car its about the involvement you and the car have together.

I also wonder if the majority of the year old cars on offer for sale are mostly ex domo cars that the dealers have configured themselves thinking that this what the majority of customers want?
