997.2 buckets and ceramics
Discussion
Hi guys,
In the market for a gen2 997..
Keep going back to this guards red one..
http://www.covencarcentre.co.uk
Nice spec but seems a tad expensive..
What's the pistonheads consensus on this ?

That is really really strong money for the car.
Definitely get it inspected if serious about it, alternative is get dealer to put it through the porsche 111 point warranty check and fix any issues so you could get the porsche extended warranty.
Check the rear light clusters for moisture, these are £900 each to replace.
Wheels are Carrera Series II wheels painted black, look awful IMHO.
Lastly check the tyres are N rated and less than 6 years old if thinking of porsche warranty.

I would expect it around £42-£43k,and then try and get a little
bit off that too.
Will definitely stop to give it the once over and go from there..
If it's meant to be it will be..

Buy a later 2011 997.2 C2S and fit buckets yourself, don't worry on Ceramics.
And that's the thing..I would never buy a car and start messing around with the factory spec..
Ceramics I find very uber desirable..
The only thing I would do is buy another centre console to paint or wrap in red
so that the existing one stays original.

I would agree with that .£48k is on high side.
I started the thread and even said I would go and view, but just
couldnt get out of my head that for not a lot more I could
get a 991 .
In any case I have come across a very similar car
and have agreed a price under £40k.

Shocking lack of details man. You're letting yourself down here. Basics like colour, year and gearbox. Then move on to the tastier options.I started the thread and even said I would go and view, but just
couldnt get out of my head that for not a lot more I could
get a 991 .

It's a manual ,guards red with ceramics and buckets.
Red seatbelt said,lsd..lowered 20mm. 5mm spacers.
A few carbon bits on the inside.
59 plate .. 50k with full opc history.
One previous owner.
Will post pics at weekend .
I am thinking of painting/wrapping the centre console to guards red to brighten up interior.
Anybody done this?any advice will be much appreciated .
