I got another set of alloys so I can keep one set standard (Turbo twists) and powder coat another set to suit the car better.

Its a 993 TT polar slver, the bright silver just dont seem to go with the silver/blue colour of the car. Anyway I have two sets so might as well have a colour.

I thinking of either:
Gloss Black
Charcoal Anthrcite
Duck Blue (light blue, am I mad, may not go with the red calipers, but it would suit larger yellow ones )

But your suggestions would be great, what do you think I should go with? Gloss black is my favorite so far, should I have the outer rim poilished?

See: www.lap-tab.co.uk/alloywheels.php this site has loads of pics of turbo twists.

I have 500 colours to choose from at the powder coating place (not lap-tab).

Mmmmmm black does look nice, I wonder if it will always look dirty with water marks etc.. but at least the brake dust wont show.

I guess the fuchs look is what I am after :-) , do you think the complete black alloy would blend into the tyre without the polished rim?

Not the green, but if I was to track the car I would consider bright orange ( just for track days). But its just for the rd for now, I plan a 968CS for the track when money permits.

Wow, thanks a lot, thats blummin fantastic.

Yep the duck blue was a silly idear, but the anthracite looks fantastic.

If you could do a medium to dark blue metalic, that would be nice to see.

I have heard that chromed alloys weaken the actual alloy over time and can be dangereous, does anyone know if that goes for the smoked chrome and anthracite etc..

Thanks again C2look.

Thanks again C2Look,

Yep just confirmed I dont want that colour (met blue).

Anthracite (or dark silver) / gloss black with chrome rim,

Do you think a black silver would go with a chromed rim?

Its a tough choice, I think it might come down to price, depends what they charge for the chrome rim.

Im really excited now, those pics have got me in the mood, I think I will drop them off tomorrow and see if they have any examples there.

Mmm GT3 have lots going on in the design, turbo twists are simple to clean (just 5 big lumps). But I do worry they will look a constant mess.

Any owners with black turbo wheels?

My thoughts exactley PGM, like I said earlier, I have two sets so will keep one set standard silver.

I think I have to follow my gut instinct and go for gloss black with a silver rim ( I havent actually asked if they do the polished rims yet). I will post the results in a week or two.

My man is £35 per corner + vat, thats full sandblast, fill in any perfections, paint, laquer and its powder coated, choice from 500 colours.

But I will give more details later, I dont even know if he does polished rims, and he is not an alloy specialist but does do quite a lot of them. Mainly just a powder coating specialist.

Also unsure what he could do with the centers, the plastic ones would be useless I would imagine I will have to get some alloy ones sprayed or powder coated.

I will pass on the details later as I dont know what kind of job he will do but its worth a shot at that price. If hes any good I will post pics and contact info for everyone in a week or so.
