First 911 - Carrera 3.2 or 993 ?

Looking to buy my first 911 - split between a good late 3.2 Carrera (£ 15K), or splashing out more on a 993 (£ 25K) ? any opinions on which way to go ?

yes sorry have found a fair bit searching the archives .. still useful advice ..

other factors will be it must be a daily driver with some motorway commuting from time to time, and the wife will also be using it ...really looks 993 is the way to go ...also, is there a 'hierachy' in terms of desirable colours ?

Thanks all for your thoughts - its good to know there's forums around like this for help and advice .. now just need to find a good 993 ! - and I havent even got into the individual models yet ...

Well yes there is the whole 930 turbo which does attract me (Im sure it would be an 'experience' to drive !) but running costs (and some worries about how my wife would find it ! ) put me off (and finding a good one that hadnt been totally caned !)

Yes as u say really need to sort out drives in all the relevant models ..
