Truth be known I recently lost mine which i got when i ordered a kit. I would like the same again but can't bring myself to pay the obligatory 4 squid p and p for an item that costs 8 squid. Tight i know.

Perhaps some of us find car polishing a light form of catharsis....I always thought the full Porsche experience came with the expectation of some serious polishing action...

Ravi, I see you're a "strategy consultant". In my experience anything suffixed by the word "consultant" guarantees at least a #700 a day invoice....

I don't have the nouse (or the balls) to go freelance. We strategists are a much tougher sell as contractors than those IT boys.

Ravi, tight isn't the word to describe you!

After offering up my clay bar and nearly full bottle of application fluid, Ravi PM's me and asks if I could send it to him!! I'm happy for someone to pick it up but I'll be damned if I'm going to fork out for postage!

Hold on a sec! I was never expecting to get it for free! I'd be more than happy to pay a fair price!

I never thought such a seemingly innocent thread would provoke so much creativity! Great work guys but seriously, anyone want to sell me some before I walk to Halfords in my flip flops and bathrobe with egg stains?

this has to be the best thread on here..............
ravi seriously seeing that there has been around 4 pages of comments - and u haven't got a clay bar yet - and seeing it's christmass around corner - i'm feeling in good spirit, - i'll loan it to bud...
I'm so touched thanks. Glad to see that some of my Porsche brethren are still human (or should that be humane).

If it's any consolation I have tried on two distinct occasions to get some but have failed. I tried to steal some plasticine from my neighbours' kids but the dog got wind of my plan and piss£d on my nearside front tyre.

I get the sense with the prevailing cynicism on this thread that it's unlikely that i'll get the desired result. Probably end up selling the 964 then and buy a barge instead. Anyone got any spare deck lacquer?

You'd need a lot of ski wax. Anyone have any spare to send to Ravi?
No.

Got no ski Wax.

I have a paint detailing clay bar that might be a good substitute . . . . ?
I've got some of my wife's hair removal wax (used and only has a few pubes per square inch) but Ravi can have it if he like (still not paying postage though!)
Para you're a tight arse. Can't believe you won't do the postage. Should we call you scrooge?

Did you clay your car then? Good results?
Couldn't be bothered in the end so sold it! Hanging on to my motorbike in the meantime while I scout down a super cheap and super good 993!

I've been watching prices for the past 6 months and some of them are now relatively cheap. There were a few "S" variants for well under 30g.
