Think I'm going to miss out on my ideal 996 unless I can shift my M3 quickly (1998, black, gt3 kit, the alloys I like and great condition).

Changed the price to £18,950 which is an absolute steal and the ad has now been up for a couple of days - so how long does your experience say it will take to flog this motor - a month?

Guys doesn't want part ex - otherwise that 996 would be in my garage as I type :'(

So come on guys how long has it taken you to sell your 911s in the past ???

I've only ever part exchanged my cars so have no idea how long it takes to sell a PHENOMENAL and IMMACULATE car privately (ok those two capitalised words are part of my sales pitch) ?

Should I post a link to the ad - but then don't want random phone calls from you untrustworthy so and so's wink

PS ANY INSPECTION WELCOME

I could give you a trade bid if it helps you get the 911 you want? Less money than selling privately, but less hassle/risk and quick cash, which may make the difference between getting the 911 you've found or missing out on it....
Right you rowdy timewasting lot - here's a link to the advert - any dodgy phone calls and there will be a knee-capping service provided !!!

Trade price - so how much would that be ? I know I should have this up at £20k but want a quick sale so don't offer me anything under the asking price now wink !

PS No buyers from Khazikstan please !!!!!!!!!!

How about allowing test drives on the BMW if they provide proof of fully comprehensive insurance for your car?

They could arrange that through their own insurer for a day or through one of the plethora of online companies offering day cover.

I would have thought most people would want to try a car for themseleves before spending nearly £19k on it - at least I know I would.
Sounds like a good idea - I'll amend accordingly.

So TheGoose - give me a figure and let my dreams be realised!

Here's the baby I wanted - if I miss out on this one, then I may just keep my M3 for a bit as I anything I'll buy will only ever be compared to this and I doubt many could live up to it (for the price)...

PS I'd change the GT3 badge back to carrera

I have 18inch carrera classics on my boxster but i've never thought they look right on a 911 with an aerokit, no aerokit they look fine. That looks like a tarted up old car, i would avoid personally.

Thanks Mat. Haven't purchased it yet - nearly did a deal, but then the seller got cold feet over the part ex. I may just not look at the classifieds, drive my M3 until summer and then look again when the market is moving again.

Love my M3, but have a 911 itch to scratch whilst the kiddies are still small. Once they grow up I can go back to the M3.

Hang on, which wheels do you want (ideally), the GT3 style or the Carrera Classics?
The ones in the link - not sure what they are called

No but could be, mine is identical in appearance though is a C2. Seriously, if you're tempted I could be seperated from it as I quite fancy a targa... evil
Couple of questions - does it have black interior and is it a manual / tip?

How much you looking for it ?

Do you fancy a M3 meantime ?

Don't shoot the messenger but the trade value of the M3 is definitely no more than £15,000 - still a lot more than the £10k you got offered though wink

I could sell you a 2000 'X' 29,000 mile Carrera 2 manual with full GT3 kit (and correct GT3 wheels), with Sports chassis too (being 30mm lower really suits the GT3 kit), in superb condition (recently had usual creaking wishbones replaced etc etc) for £30k inc a full a year's OPC warranty. Looks great in zanzibar with black too. If you only buy black cars it won't be for you, but gives an idea of what can be had and for how much smile.
Thats mate - I'm defo after black so will give that a miss - also for £30k I'd start looking at 02 plates to be honest at which point the GT3 kit becomes less of an issue with the facelift.

I'm looking to spend M3 + £5-6k max.

Its fixed so whats the problem - it was the classic M3 problem of RTABs - I would NEVER sell a car that wasn't perfect when it left me - don't need the hassle and couldn't live with it TBH.

If I did want to sell it in that state I wouldn't be daft enough to put in on PHs and then put a link to it with my current user id!

I guess your post means every car you have ever had has never had an issue that required a mechanical fix --- or perhaps more likely you've been sat in the corner licking your wounds waiting to take a cheap shot but it didn't work ?

LMAO you Loser.
