Short video clip of the car with Chris narrating. Apparently he's prioritizing feeding the family above it. The poofter.wink

Anyone seen the actual ad anywhere?

great car.
a bit ott for a old motor though.
very hard to price.
would be better broken to get your money back , or convert to classic rally car i think.
40k ish ?.
first look at his new project too.
nice sight, great to have a online mag - but you cant be piston heads !

Whilst I don't know what similar cars actually sell for, I think this appears similar at £75k (to my no-911 specialist eye): http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/573988.htm

So Chris's obviously has a 3.4 engine, which I suspect is "better". Seems like a lot of money, but undeniably a very nice car.

How do we think Chris's car compares to the Paul Stephens "modern classics"? They do very similar project to Chris, taking a modern galvanized car, and making it "retro", while tuning it to the customer's preference. Whilst Paul Stephens controls the used market for their cars, they appear to hold their value fairly well when they come on the market as "used" cars.

More info here: http://www.psautoart.com/psretro_300r.shtm

Edited to add - I think Chris's car looks pretty close to perfect in my eyes, for fast road/track use. It's exactly the kind of thing I'd like to own, but very much doubt I could afford it.

I'd prefer it to a 996 GT3. But would I prefer it to an 996 GT3 RS or a 997 GT3? I'm not sure. Although I suspect it's likely new owner may well also have examples of those too, so it's probably not a case of either/or.

Take yourself off into a corner and have a word with yourself. It look perfect on an older track focussed car. FACT.

For those who've not seen it before - this is the final of the three Autocar video's of the car, where Chris talks you around the )almost) finished car:

http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallpapers/Videos.a...

There's a couple more on there too, but this one's the most informative.
