I have never come across this prob with any other car but this weekend decided to give my wheels a good clean. So jacked it up to take one of the back wheels, undid and took off all the wheel nuts but the wheel was still stuck solid. I tried a little persuasion with a rubber mallet but didnt wanna go too crazy in case I knocked it off the jack.

But it would not move an inch and was stuck solid. Has anyone ever come across this before? Or any suggestions how I can sort this? Car is three and half years old and I have had it almost a year. Only done 15k miles so not even sure if the wheels have ever been taken off.

Thanks for all the advice, sounds like it is very common. I must say that is what i suspected that it was the wheel hub that was sticking. Will either get some axle stands on just jack it up til it is just off the ground lossen the wheel nuts slightly then bang it with rubber mallet. That way if it does fall off jack then the nuts should still hold it all in place.

Only got a scissor jack so if above doesn't work then will defo try axle stands, where is best place to put them if the jack it taking up the space on one jacking point?
