With my engine out at the moment I've got the opportunity to replace the foil heat shield, which is looking tired

Anyone else out there done this? If so what brand did you use, do you have any pics of the finished work

Zircotec do adhesive backed heat shield, which can apprently be safely folded 180 degrees its so thin. Does the padding in the original reduce cabin noise? will their be an increase using one of the adhesive types?

John have you used their heat shield roll, its a pretty good price! I could cover the whole car in their stuff vs a couple of feet of Zircotec biggrin

Is it as good as the original TVR stuff?

Anyone who's done this remember how much sheet they used?

On the firewall it looks like it incorporates sound insulation in addition to the thermal barrier. Has anyone just replaced this with reflective material only? If so was there a difference in cabin noise?

I think its between these two..

Has anyone just used any of the latest foil heat reflective material on the firewall that has no blanket behind it? Was there any discernible difference in cabin noise level.

Hi Martin,
Did you notice any elevated cabin noise over your last tuscan?
