Throttle cable mod

Hi all
How can I tell if I have the later throttle cable conversion/bracket on my car? I've seen a few places selling this mod but no pics so I don't know which I have. I also read that bending the bracket by the throttle pedal stops breakages (varleyhd I think?). Is this a permenant fix if I discover I have the original set up?
I have just taken the throttle bodies off and am machining them out to put bearings in so while the car is in bits it seems silly not to replace the cable and get it right so it doesn't break in the future.
