Hi all

It's nearing the time I get to pick up my Tuscan biggrin

Now I've only seen it once and it's when I first viewed it.

I was originally wanting a tamora or possible t350, but seeing the Tuscan at HHC I saw how spacious it was inside and in the boot, it made more sense for our European trip...

Anyways, I remember the rear shelf and footwell being pretty large... I'm curious to wonder if my large dog would fit on rear shelf comfortably?? Or is that a definate no no?.
I know my dad used to always take his dogue de Bordeaux in his Alfa spider ... She was always happy to jump up even though she had to be shoehorned out!

Thanks for the reply.

Am sure your terrier was the envy of all his/her pals!

Trouble is my dog is nearly 8st.... But not particularly huge just stocky... Similar size to my dad's old mastiff which went in the spider..

Don't forget the dogs seatbelt, don't want it flying past your ear in the unlikely event of some idiot pulls out in front of you and anchors up.

Fair point...

Nice!
We have (amongst others) a blue blood american bulldog rescue. She hasn't been in the Tuscan yet but our sharpei cross mastif has and he is a similar weight. Just for the record he loves it.

I can see where this thread is going....
Wow a sharpei cross mastiff sounds stunning!

Good to hear I should be able to have him as company now and again.

The only dog he gets on with..

Hmm slight difference of opinion. I have a Dogue de Bordeaux and three bull dogs and for their own safety I won't put them in anything other than the back of the discovery. I certainly wouldn't risk it on the parcel shelf of the tuscan for yours and they're safety.

To really make it safe you'd need harness mounting points on the chassis rails.
Very true and a very fair point. I refused to put Charlie in the back of my focus in fear of a rear end shunt as they seem to be relatively common and horrifies me to think what would happen to him in the boot.

A discovery is a perfect kennel on wheels.

It would ky be an occasional thing but was more curious to if people did it and how much room there is

Matt I hope your dogs don't fart half as much as Charlie does!

The initial thoughts were arthiritus but the X-rays show the arthiritus isn't very advanced and have diagnosed him with snapped cruciates or seriously damaged.

I'm not so sure as his other leg had identical symptoms after I was last at vets (only went in for boosters) and after a check over vet must have manipulated his leg too vigorously while checking him over that he damaged / hurt him... But a week of rest sorted it.

His suggestion was a 2-3k op... So we going to leave it a few days and see if he can start walking on it again. Then reconsider our options if it's still causing him discomfort.

It is tough like you say a dog can't tell you what's up or how scared he is...

I'd consider a joint formula. One of the bulldogs has spondolosis and arthritis, the other just arthritis, the Bordeaux seems to suffer with tendinitis. We use arthri-aid and synoquin, plus I give them dl-phenyalinine for natural pain relief.

The bulldogs are both off anti inflammatory drugs now and have spells going like mentalists lol
Thanks for that.. Had a few bits of advice so will try a few things...
He's only 7 so not really old.

Plenty of rest is on the cards meaning I get to see what this Tvr ownership is all about
