Hi all,

I've noticed that the doors on my Tuscan don't seem to line up great at the bottom. It looks like they are open slightly - is there anything to re-align them?

Exactly!

Mine are perfect at the top and sides, shut lines are all good but at the bottom its just sticking out a litte bit. Probably wouldnt look bad in a dark colour but its quite obvious in white!

Does anyone have some information on this?

Could it be that my car has a door from another Tuscan which doesnt fit the body as well?

Getting the car painted shortly and I'm a bit miffed on how to rectify this.

I understand that they may have used shims on the bolts that went through the body, if the bottom hinge has some fitted then wouldn't that cause the door to be further out at the bottom, by removal it should pull the bottom of the door in closer when shut. Of course, if there are no shims then disregard what I have just said.
But surely if shims were the case then the door wouldnt shut properly? The alignment is spot on everywhere else its just at the bottom of the door, its almost like it doesnt curve around enough.

Where would these shims be? Would I need to pull the carpet on the inside?

Checked this morning and there is no shim fitted at the bottom but 2 shims fitted at the top.

Do you think it would be possible to shim the top out further and then adjust the striker on the door so it closes properly? Or am I clutching straws?

Thanks anyway!

I'll have a play around before the car gets painted to see if I can get it any better.
