Opinions please. I'm tempted to put in an offer but the money's far too strong wouldn't you say? Thanks!

after 104 posts............you take teetering to a new level, don't you ?

Get one you like, Tamora/Tuscan/T350 or a Chimeara if it needs be a bit cheaper and try it, if you don't like it, sell it, you will not loose money over it (if at all you'll make some...)

good luck !
Definitely sold on getting a Tuscan now and this one drove very nicely today. Just wondering what the wise folk on here think about it from what they can see.

Lot of support for the car today.

What I would ask you is if its worth £8k more than this:

And double the price of this:

Its not as though these are Cat D dogs with stratospheric miles. To all intents and purposes they are directly comparible...

After much deliberation over the weekend I am going to hold out for the perfect one.

Non - negotiable:
1) Under 40,000miles
2) Chassis A1
3) No noticeable issues with paint, bodywork, interior
4) Full engine rebuild or the car is warranted by a TVR specialist
5) A reflex colour or a lairy (non-girly) one
6) Not a 3.6l
7) No tango lights

Bonus points:
1) Under 30,000
2) Sports exhaust
3) An "S" or uprated spec
4) TVR number plate or '04 (there's a great 04 personalised registration I've seen that I really like!)
5) I guess I should say price because everyone likes a bargain but, truth be told, I'm willing to pay a fair price for the right one.

I think the OP is missing the point ... These are OLD cars now, a 12/14 year old car will possibly show a little over 40k (especially if reliable and used regularly), may have a few chips and have seen a little life, will be a TVR so will always need something done.

In my opinion a full engine rebuild is essential, from Powers or St8 Six, not factory, good chassis and outriggers essential, recent clutch & slave, set of nitrons. Car must drive well and feel planted - many tuscans don't.

Nice colour and interior essential ... I had the best spec and lowest mileage 5 litre chimaera ever but absolutely hated the colour frown.

3.6 or 4.0? Who cares??
I'm thinking perhaps you're missing my point. I've decided that this will, unless they ever start building new cars again, my only ever only TVR, having lusted after owning one for 20 years. I have the budget to afford the perfect (for me) example. All I need is patience and perseverance.

But you don't have the budget to change the indicators?

And you still haven't answered why not a 3.6?
Simple.

I neither want the very first produced nor the smallest engine.
