Left & right turn Indicator lights - any ideas?

I've had the Tuscan 6 months now and its been a trouble free (touch wood) cracking period with no niggles and very few complaints about the car. The only constant irritation i have when driving with the lid off is that at any speed over say 40mph you cant hear the indicators when they're on (even with the volume on max)and their positioning means i cant see when the lights are on very easily either.

The result is that i regularly find myself driving along with the indicators blinking away for a minute at a time after the manoeuvre! is this just me?

Has anyone else become irritated by this and found an ingenious solution / repositioned the indicator lights somewhere else on the dash pod etc?
