After 7 Years of TVR ownership (Grins, Moans, and big bills) I have had to say goodbye. It has been a dream to own such a car but the constant repairs have finally taken it's toll. I wasn't using it enough to justify the amount I was shelling out and the problems that were continuing to bug me. I will make do with looking at the canvas picture in my office and smile every time. (Oh and my delimited Jag 5.0 Conv XKR will help)
I sold to a dealer as I had experienced private buyers wasting my time last year and could not face the hassle, I will have lost money I know. Anyone thinking of owning such a great car should make sure they have a good bank balance to dip into !! I was lucky enough to have good resources at my disposal and a very understanding wife.
Thanks for advice people have given over the years.
Stu

Thanks for the interest guys. It is a fantatstic looking car, I have maintained this car to the highest standards every year and yet still it is getting to the age where there are a list of things which need doing. Being Rossi Pearl the dealer said he would have to respray it to sell on and reflected that in his offer to me. I see this is advertised without the respray but it does need it, the asking price is what you should pay WITH respray. I found over the last 18 months some issues were ongoing and I seemed to be paying out for work which didn't fix the underlying problems, sometimes having a knock on effect. If you PM me I can help anyone thinking of looking at buying. Cheers Stu
