Hello,

I have a TVR Chimaera at the moment which I've had for a couple of years. Initially it was a second car for me but I enjoyed using it so much I sold my every day car and used the TVR - and it was all the better for it!
Only problem is my girlfriend hates driving it and finds it too heavy. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem as she has her own car, but I work away for lots of the year and would prefer the car to be driven rather than sitting in a garage for months.
We tried a Tuscan a couple of years ago and she loved it, so it's something I'm considering a change to.
I'd be looking up to 25k for a car, ideally one with a rebuild. What are your thoughts on using this car every day when I'm home? My commute is very short, but I can take the back roads and make it longer to let the car warm up - which I do in the Chim. I do have a garage but it is a couple of miles from the house. So the car would spend a lot of the time on the drive and would probably only get put in the garage when I know it's not going to be used for a few days.
My heart says to go for a Tuscan but my head says it won't be a good idea to use like this...
Really interested in any thoughts - especially from those who have used theirs all the time.
Thanks.

Thanks for the replies so far. Seems more encouraging than I'd have guessed.
Are there any other TVRs that are better suited to daily use - like a Tamora or T350? Still think I prefer the Tuscan as I like the looks over the Tamora and I do like the option of taking the roof off.
What's wind noise like with the roof in place? I've always found the Chim really noisy with the roof on where the airflow hits the front of the panel - and this is with a new roof so it fits as well as it can. Is the Tuscan going to be better on longer trips away?
