Tuscan boot not flat when closed
Discussion
Has anyone managed to get the boot to close and lie flat with equal gaps all around the edges? I know the gas strut has an effect, deforming the boot lid slightly and they aren't perfect moulds. Mines a 2000 and I know they changed the seals arrangement later on. The strange thing with mine is that without the seal in place, the boot sits level!?

Martin,
My boot has never sat level. Always higher on O/S, where the gas strut is.
Have you disconnected gas strut? Thought I might try this at some time.

I suppose I could and see, but I've had the boot close without the seal in place and its level, so i think the issue is the boot seal or a difference in height between the ridge that the seal sits over from the o/s to the n/s.My boot has never sat level. Always higher on O/S, where the gas strut is.

I need to get into the boot to look at how the seal interferes with the boot and see what I can do about it. Clearly I have nothing better to do (I'm trying to get all the gaps perfect!)
