Autotech Prestige Flip Bonnet Conversion

I got my Tuscan RR new in June 2000 and it has always bugged me I could not open the bonnet. I finally decided to get it done for its 15th birthday by www.autotechprestige.com near Milton Keynes. They use the gas struts down the front of the engine bay adjusted on a low tension and rose joint hinges. They also painted my brakes calipers for me. I’m very pleased.

I did indeed strongly consider Allan Howells conversion but I preferred the ease of access and aesthetics of the gas struts. They are very sturdy. It would take a very strong wind before any movement. As I don't leave my car parked in fields with the bonnet open it was not a consideration. As I said I'm very pleased!
