The adaptives are out, seen on the diagnostic programme, possibly due to a sticking exhaust valve but as it has been stored for a long time (years) i know it needs a good drive. Fluids have been changed, new plugs and HT leads fitted etc. Oil pressure, temps etc all good and runs well, although a little hesitant setting off with little throttle and one spark plug is a bit too black around the top so we know over fueling is taking place.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't reset the adaptive mapping through the diagnostic software and if not is this just done with the car ticking over?

Thanks

Not yet. They are out also, just over 20% if i remember correctly. Should an adaptive map reset only be done if these are running correctly?

No they only differ from each other a few % so hopefully okay.

Are there any circumstances under which you should not reset the adaptive mapping?
