Hi, my experience after 3 months owning a Tuscan!!
I'm starting fixing some electric faults in my Tuscan.
1 - switch indicators would not stay when turning right, after forcing to the right the high beams were turning on. Not resetting (cancel) when turning the steering wheel.
Fix: toke the switch out and there was some parts not in place inside of the switch indicator box. Got everything in place and the indicators and the high beams are now fully working. Even the cancel function is working.
2 - replacing the speedo plate from mph to kph.
Fix: taking the dashboard out, simple to change the speedo plate.
3 - needle not on the zero position.
Fix: I was not able to fix yet, but i think if I replace for a smaller pivot pin that attach the needle to the gear pin it will get the switch turn on in a lower position, make it to the zero.
4 - Lcd missing lines
Fix: since I had the dashboard out, I toke my chance and remove the lcd and cleaned everything, it's now working perfectly.
5 - intermittent wipers not working
Fix: the switch that adjusts the speed for the wipers on the steering wheel had a broken wire. Got that in place with my solder iron. The wipers now fully working.
Issue today: I have left the car parked outside (heavy rain, today) when I got home from work, I have check the car and everything looked OK. 10 minutes later, I was going out and I saw the lights on (main beams) obviously they were off since yesterday, but just to double check I have checked and the switch was on the off position. So my only option was to go straight to the fuse box and remove the fuse for the main beams. After removing the fuse the lights still on?? So removed the one the says deep beams and I was able to turn them off!!!
-Any advise for what can be the issue??
The only thing was the heavy rain and strangely they just turn on after 24 hours after I did all the repairs ???
Seems that my electric problems are really a pain to get them away...

Hi,
Thank you for the help again. i was able to resolve most part of the issues. I can see that the water is getting in the car i think from the windscreen since i was looking for the fuse box a drop of water fell out on my face from the fiberglass around the windscreen, now I'll try to take the dashboard top off to seal everything with silicone (from the inside) had water too on the pilar A from the passenger seat. I'm still struggling to find the Alarm unit and the immobiliser, i know that the immobiliser was changed for sure because the old one on the boot. I have made a new "remote fob, the one with 2 buttons open/close" base on the number from Car owner manual, but the new remote does not work even with the alarm in programing mode. I'm trying to locate the alarm because the light on the socket for the fob is not on and the button to close the doors from the inside is not working. i think that connects directly to the alarm. Since I'm taking the dashboard top out gonna check if it's there, remember that the old owner said that he had to replace the immobiliser, because of the water damaged the old one. If someone knows the alarm location, can you email me please: helderteixeira@hotmail.com.
Regarding the zero position for the needle,, when i turn on the ignition it stays in zero, when i start driving it's not going to zero it stays one click above zero. if i turn off the car it resets the needle again to zero, zero position. is it like this ??? or something related to electric speed sensor??

Still fighting with my electrics:
I'm trying to get the center locking button to work. Was never working from when I bought the car. I was tracing the wires and I know that button uses the orange and black and black/grey wires. There's a plug underneath the Center console that is not connected anywhere. Does anyone know if this plug should be connected??

Thank you, I've been talking with Don from Abacuscar to provide me one full alarm kit to replace my existing one. I just love to do everything that I can on the car (have done loads of fixes) and I was trying to get this one sorted as well. Loads of info from PH very useful. I think the first visit to UK with the Tuscan is for an engine rebuild. The engine for now runs fine but it has a oil leak that I'm trying to identify, but the weather here doesn't help... Cold and rain. So during the winter working inside and hopefully on the summer to be able to work on the outside... A long journey since November but she was needing some care and attention. I am enjoying every bit that I'm spending on the car almost every day working on it. 6 hours just to get one screw back in place for the dashboard. Just love the Tuscan.
