Roof won't fit in boot.
Discussion
Had my Tuscan retrimmed last year and the boot was done with the same carpet as the interior.
This has resulted in it being impossible to get the roof section in
I should have realised as it was tight with the normal stuff.
Anyone else had the same problem?
7 weeks to go before I head down to Portugal for holidays so not much time to get a solution sorted.
The first offending bit is the carpet round the fuel pipe. Then it seems to be the general thickness across the shelf at the back.

It's a convertible roof so all in one piece.
It fit before when it was the original gray boot carper.
With the deep pile around the fuel pipe, it pushes the roof further to the right.
Possible the panel over the fuel sensor thing is siting different than before if the carpet is tighter.
Thanks for the pointers.
I shall be asking the company that did the job if they checked this aspect because it's obviously an expected requirement.

Hi Glowworm,
No, I'm on a jolly, sorry, business trip at the moment.
Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, New Delhi, and Hyderabad
I won't get the car to anyone before 22nd June now, which is 4 days before we head to the Med.
I can see it being a temporary fix.
Maybe remove the carpet around the fuel pipe to give more room.

Sounds like the solution to me! For the sake of cosmetics, you'll have a great time I'm sure
Thanks Jurgen, the Tuscan is Germany at the moment, waiting for me to get back.Yes, I think that it will be as you say, cosmetic fix for the trip.
Unless I go in the new member of the family
