Headlamp beam 'masking' for driving in France

Have tried a 'Search' but can't find any advice on the best way to 'mask' the headlamp beam. Obviously the lights are much smaller on a Tuscan than on 'normal' cars and I would appreciate any tips on the best way to shield the offending beam - have used the self adhesive opaque patches on previous cars. Thanks

Thanks very much for the link, will probably try the black insulating tape method or just not bother as that seems to be the 'favourite' position.
