tyres again... pilot sport cup 2?

Hi,

I have a mk1 tuscan, looking to replace current T1-R with something a bit more track focused/semi-slick (I don't use the car in the wet).

Have been advised that 888s are prone to tramlining on a Tuscan (less rounded shoulders?), there doesn't seem to be a massive choice of options in Tuscan sizes (currently planning 235/40 and 245/40 r18 as recommended by str8six).

Pirelli Trofeo R are also available, but a chunk more expensive.

Has anyone tried any of these, or got any other similar suggestions?
