Rover 75 bonnet stuck
Discussion
Bonnet is still stuck, but I have made progress. The easiest way seems to be to take the grille out (which involves destroying a pair of plastic screws that hold it in), which gives (very limited!) access to the bolts that hold the spring loaded plunger onto the bonnet. Around 1/16 of a turn each time using a ring spanner, it's going to take a while. But I'm making progress and hope to see the engine again shortly.

It's a common issue, there's a splitter from one cable into 2 and the joining block is mostly assembled the wrong way round so that the nipples pop out of the block. Google will give the solution of re-building it the right way round and cable tying it down.
I was hoping it was going to be that but it was the longer of the two cables that had actually snapped at the plunger end. Gassing Station | Rover | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
